    Name of the job: 3D Game Artist 

    • Note: Final Designation / Level will be decided based on the relevant experience and interview ratings
    Department: Graphics 

    Job description: 

    • Ability in creating 3D models and creating textures -characters/ level assets 
    • Plan, with the immediate supervisor, the objects and characters, to be created
    • Have the objects and characters validated by the Art Director
    • Verify the quality of objects and characters, once imported into the game, and make improvements when necessary

    Reporting to: Lead Artist/Art Director/Producer


    Responsibilities: 
    • Produces autonomously the modeling and texturing of 3D objects, in accordance with the artistic direction, production deadlines and technical specifications. 
    • Should be able to produce high res models (sculpting) as well as their low res model which can be used for normal maps/bump maps
    • Should be able to do composition for environments/scenes and should able to adjust lighting to establish mood and style of the scene according to art direction
    • Work in accordance with the project's artistic direction as well as technical directions for the engine
    • Applies optimization to his work
    • Efficiently applies graphic principles in his work
    • Uses and looks for artistic references - in video games or in other artistic domains - in order to improve the visual aspect of the game
    Studies: Degree holder majoring in Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, or related field

    Required skills: 
    • Good knowledge of 3DS Softwares preferably 3DS Max 
    • Good knowledge of sculpting softwares (ZBrush, Mudbox)
    • Ability to understand technical constraints and to integrate them when modeling. 
    • Ability to use efficiently the texture space and to take into consideration the pixel ratio. 
    • Ability to digitally sculpt/model & texture both high & low polygon characters
    • Good knowledge of texture mapping and material.
    • Good sense of form, shape, silhouette in regards to objects.
    • Good knowledge & understanding of anatomy.
    • Good level of English (oral and writing).
